Need to Sell My Home – Selling and Insurance Claim

I want to sell my home and buy an apartment. My children are all grown and live in their own homes now, so I don’t need as much space. An apartment near work will be perfect as I could walk or take a bus. I also need to find a place that is large enough to accommodate people when they do visit. I need to take out a small mortgage and purchase home insurance. If I need to file an insurance claim, I want to know that I can file one without any hassle. This is important to me as I do not want to spend a long time negotiating with insurance providers to get the money needed to make repairs to any damage to the apartment. I think my time would be better spent making the repairs. I found a few apartments that are reasonably priced and within my price range. This is important as I plan to use the funds from the sale of my house towards the new apartment.
