This site has tested over 400 pet-related products e.g. beds, toys, bowls, collars. What they have found is disturbing - there are many products that have been made with toxic chemicals e.g. lead. Exposure includes pets, pet owners and children - all can be exposed to high levels of toxins by playing with or using these products. This is a huge health concern.

I haven't yet bought anything from PawLuxury pawlux.com but I've been concerned recently about the danger of doggy tennis balls mostly being toxic for our dogs.
This looks like a good place to find toys that are safe for your dog and the prices seem reasonable.

It's a cute idea. I must admit, I don't need help remembering to buy Shakes new toys when I am in Target or Petco. If I did forget, this would be a great idea for me.

When we adopted Shakespeare in February, 2008 we discovered this great boutique store in the downtown Macy's. Unfortunately, that boutique is not around anymore but we discovered Shakespeare's best toy ever in that store - it squeaks in all four feet and the head moos.
Shakespeare loved the toy (literally) to bits. When he managed to reach cow stuffing, we had to dispose of the toy and search for a new cow. After many Google searches, I have found the toy again at fetchdog.com. If you want to see Shakes in action with his old cow, the cow makes an appearance in today's Shakespeare YouTube video.
